It's been an exciting February and March at EnergyCAP. We've enjoyed seeing our customers dive into EnergyCAP Version 7, and we've appreciated the feedback and suggestions that you have provided.
We've been working hard to integrate all of the features of Version 3 into Version 7 while also making improvements and adding some frequently requested features along the way. The latest release of EnergyCAP Version 7 (7.0.5) is now live, and it contains some significant new functionality and features that you can begin using now! This release also includes some notable features related to User Roles and Bill Approval that have been highly-requested for years.
Here are a few of the most significant updates that you'll see the next time you log into EnergyCAP Version 7 (full details below):
As you can see, we've been pretty busy recently. Thanks for all of your suggestions and feedback — they keep us going and help us make better decisions about upcoming enhancements.
I appreciate all the Release 7 info included in this posting. I have a couple of follow-up questions. I recall during the Release 7 webinar that an additional database build would be available after the initial release. Is there a planned date for non-demo Release 7 release? Could you please let me know the build versions for the one I downloaded in February (EnergyCAP v7_Installation_Package v7.0.2_20180206) and the upcoming release? Lastly, will the database script files be available on the FTP site and the Master Download site?
I will respond to your questions on Dave's behalf:
1. I recall during the Release 7 webinar that an additional database build would be available after the initial release.
This is true; EnergyCAP v7.0.5 requires DB88. As with the application package, the new database version will be posted later this week.
2. Is there a planned date for non-demo Release 7 release?
Version 7.0.5 has already been deployed to Production servers for clients whose data is hosted by EnergyCAP. The corresponding downloads for self-hosted users will be be posted this week.
3. Could you please let me know the build versions for the one I downloaded in February (EnergyCAP v7_Installation_Package v7.0.2_20180206) and the upcoming release?
The long release name is still TBD, but the upcoming release will be 220.127.116.11.
4. Lastly, will the database script files be available on the FTP site and the Master Download site?
We haven't decided yet where they have been posted. Rest assured that additional communication will accompany 7.0.5 being posted for download.
I'm following-up on the last email response. You mentioned Release 7.0.5 installation/database scripts for self-hosted clients would be available the week of 4/2. Could you please let me know how I can obtain the installation files?
David Ulmer or Kurt Kroeker,
I have the same question as Ernest, is Release 7.0.5 self-hosted clients install ready? and how I can obtain the installation files?
